Applications for all of the iSchool’s study abroad programs are now open. Trent Hill, iSchool Senior Lecturer, will be hosting an info session for Dutch Designs: Research & Information Systems, this week on Friday, in MGH 310D from 12:30-1:30. He will also hold a couple of online sessions as well, which he will schedule once he has the URL for the meeting space.
Until then, if you’d like to whet your appetite for information on the program, you can take a look at the info presentation Trent put together last year at http://uweoconnect.extn.washington.edu/publicnex2011info/ . (Please note: It might not play properly on computers running Mac OS X Lion. Trent will do a revised and rerecorded version of it next week.) It’s mostly in the “Oh the Fun Things You’ll Do” genre. For more nitty-gritty details, you should also check out the program’s e-brochure at http://tinyurl.com/4d9fl4a (which is also conveniently where you can apply).
You should also consider taking part in one of the iSchool’s other study abroad programs, which this year will be in Ghana and South Korea. The UW makes it pretty easy for students to study abroad, and it’s an opportunity you shouldn’t miss!
Regardless of which program you apply for, applications will be open through March 1, but since we’ll need to interview you, you really shouldn’t wait until the last minute to apply.
