Position Description

The University of Washington Information School is recruiting graduate students for the LIS 516 hourly Reader/Grader position. Qualifications are based on prior course work, skill level, experience, and schedule availability.

LIS 516 – Youth Development and Information Behavior in a Digital Age

  • LIS 516: Online

This position will work a maximum of 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities may include some or all of the following duties:

Prepare and grade exams and papers, maintain grading records, manage and respond to course related email, attend instructor/employee meetings, watch online lectures and office hours, and review literature. Reader/Graders may not perform teaching duties. Monitor course website.


  • Graduate students enrolled at the University of Washington as of Autumn 2019
  • Strong interest in working with students having varying skill levels
  • Proficiency in the course content, including child development and learning theories


$16.35- $17.80 per hour based on experience.
