ACRL-WA 2019 Conference Registration, Scholarships, and Keynote Announced

Registration is now open for the 2019 Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) Washington/Oregon Conference. The theme of the conference is Whiteness and Racism in Academic Libraries: Dismantling Structures of Oppression. Student scholarships are available to help cover costs of attending. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Ralina L. Joseph, Director of the UW’s Center for Communication, Difference, and Equity. The title of the keynote is “Interrupting Microaggressions.”

How do I register?

You can register online through the ACRL website. If you are a ACRL Washington member, please log in to receive your discounted member rate.

Are student scholarships available?

Yes! The deadline to apply for a Conference Attendance Scholarship or the Excellence Award is Friday, September 6. You can find more information about scholarships and awards on the ACRL website.

When does registration close?

Registration will remain open until Monday, October 14 (ten days before the conference) or all spots are filled (175 attendees), whichever is first. However, if you intend to stay overnight at Pack Forest, you must register no later than Friday, October 4 to allow adequate time to process housing assignments.

How much does registration cost?

Registration is $100 for students, $155 for ACRL Washington members, and $165 for non-members.

What are my housing options?

Housing in dorms or cabins is included with regular registration. There are a very limited number of spaces available in apartments at Pack Forest at an additional cost. If you would like to request upgraded housing, please register as soon as possible. Apartments are $20 per person, invoiced separately.
