Call for Nominations: Distinguished Teaching Awards
Deadline: Nominations due by November 13, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.
Have you had an awesome instructor? Do you wish you could recognize them on an University-wide level? If so, consider nominating them for one of the various Distinguished Teaching Awards! Students, staff, and faculty colleagues are invited to submit nominations for exemplary UW instructors.
Nominations are open for the:
- Distinguished Teaching Award for Innovation with Technology (for a faculty member, group of faculty members, or faculty and staff group)
- Distinguished Teaching Award (for a faculty member)
- Excellence in Teaching Award (for a graduate instructor or graduate teaching assistant)
- James D. Clowes Award for the Advancement of Learning Communities (for a staff or faculty member)
Award descriptions and nomination guidelines are on the Center for Teaching and Learning Teaching Awards website. Successful submissions will be descriptive, reflecting the impact the instructor has had on the student academic experience through teaching, mentoring, innovations with technology, service, and more.
The deadline for all submissions is 12:00 p.m., November 13. By November 25, the names of all eligible nominees will be listed on the Center for Teaching & Learning website.
Help recognize outstanding teaching at the UW by nominating one of your colleagues—faculty, graduate student, or both. They deserve this recognition.
