Deadline: Applications due by Friday, February 14, 2020.

UW’s new Center for an Informed Public is hosting the second annual MisInfoDay event on Monday, March 16, from 10:00-2:15. They expect 500 high school students, teachers, and librarians to come ready to learn about how to identify and combat mis- and disinformation.

  • Set up and registration (9:00-11:00).
  • Leading 5-10 min activities/demos on misinformation topics to small groups of students. They can provide plans for activities or you can design your own (10:00-2:30 or a portion of this time).
  • General logistics – helping students find their way, answering basic questions, clean up throughout day (9:00-3:00 or a portion of this time).

If you’re interested or would like to know more, please fill out this form or contact Liz Crouse, MLIS alum, at lizcrous@uw.edu by Friday, February 14, 2020.
