Join us for a lively and informative workshop!
• Learn about cultural differences and communication styles
• Discuss communication skills – in and out of the classroom
• Practice tips for effective communication and networking skills
• Develop strategies for real world communication situations in academic, professional and social settings

Both facilitators have combined professional backgrounds in working with English-as-Second-Language students, public speaking, workshop facilitation, and teaching.

The event is co-sponsored by Core Programs at the Graduate School, GPSS, and FIUTS.

New iSchool Faculty

The iSchool hired six  new faculty members.  Some have taught for us part-time, some have returned after time teaching elsewhere, and some are brand new to the iSchool.

After teaching for the iSchool part-time, Mike Doane and Annie Searle are joining the iSchool as full-time lectures.  Michael Freeman joined the iSchool last winter quarter, teaching a bit in spring and summer quarters.

Joining us this autumn are Sean McGann, Joel Ross, and Hala Annabi.

The iSchool offices exist in three different buildings spread across the U-District.
