Notice: Distinguished Teaching Awards Call for Nominations

We are pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2018 Distinguished Teaching Awards.  We hope to generate a robust pool of nominations, one that reflects the richness and diversity of teaching at the UW.  We are especially interested in seeing more nominations of faculty members who are women, who are from underrepresented groups, and/or have disabilities.  Please consider nominating one of your stellar faculty or graduate student colleagues. Do you know a special UW faculty member who teaches or helps build courses or programs, who’s made significant contributions to lifelong learning for working adults or other nontraditional students? Nominate them for the 2016 Lifelong Learning Award!

Anyone can submit a nomination, so you’re welcome to share this info with students, alumni, faculty, staff or community members who may wish to nominate someone.

Nominations are open until Jan. 3, 2017.

  • This award is an important UW honor and includes a $5,000 stipend!
  • Nominees can be from any unit at the UW in lifelong learning/continuing education for any group. (Not limited to UW Continuum College).
  • Nominees must have a UW faculty appointment to be eligible. Any faculty rank and part-time faculty are eligible. Non-faculty instructors and lecturers are not eligible.
  • If you’ve nominated someone in the past who wasn’t selected, feel free to nominate them again.

*More info about this award, eligibility requirements, submission guidelines and contact information is available on the Lifelong Learning Award page.

We hope to have an abundance of great candidates this year. Rovy Branon and the selection committee appreciate your help in making this possible.
