SALALM (Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials) Conference Attendance Scholarship

Deadline for All Application Materials: March 15, 2019

Established to encourage professional and leadership development in Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies librarianship, the award of up to $1500 enables a master’s candidate in an ALA-accredited (or equivalent) library, information, or archival studies program to attend the next SALALM annual conference, June 26-29, 2019, hosted by the University of Texas at Austin.

Funding: SALALM Scholarship

Learn more about a $1000 scholarship being offered by SALALM, the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials! SALALM is the only national and international professional association focused on Latin American and Caribbean studies research librarianship.

The scholarship primarily concerns Master’s students and applicants do need to have completed at least one semester of study. The current application deadline is November 30. The scholarship application process is not onerous, requiring only a single letter of reference.
