Get LinkedIn to Jobs!

You already know how to job search online and some of the basic Linkedin tips, but do you know how to make the most of your job search using Linkedin?
Build your connections. Start with professors, alumni or others you know who are in your field or already have contacts with professionals in your field. On LinkedIn, connections are a two way street: they will lead you to jobs and will lead employers to you.
Search the right way! The top search bar under the “jobs” category searches for national jobs while the bottom search bar looks for local jobs in your area. You can sort by experience, which is typically relevant for students who don’t have a lot of experience . You can also search by relationship, because knowing people in your network connected to the job is key to getting it! Continue reading
