Undergraduate nominations for Excellence in Teaching Award

The UW’s Tolo Chapter of Mortar Board invites all undergraduates to nominate an outstanding professor who has inspired and has made exceptional contributions towards the education of UW undergraduates.  Mortar Board’s Excellence in Teaching Award annually recognizes an extraordinary professor who has proven to be particularly dedicated to the intellectual success of undergraduates. Over the years, selected professors have represented a diversity of academic departments.  All nominations for the 2010 Excellence in Teaching Award must be received by 11:59pm on Friday, April 16, 2010.  A nomination form is attached to this announcement.

Nominations may be completed in two ways:

  • Online through “Catalyst Collect It” on Mortar Board, Tolo Chapter’s website (http://uwmortarboard.org/awards.aspx).
  • The attached download-and-print form also is available at Tolo Chapter’s website. Nomination hard copies must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Mortar Board box (#136) in the Student Activities Office, HUB-207.  Teaching Award 2010 Nomination Form

The oldest continuing national honor society at the University of Washington, Mortar Board recognizes college seniors for distinguished ability and achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service. Mortar Board, Tolo Chapter, was founded at the University of Washington in 1909, is the oldest continuing honor society on campus, and has included numerous distinguished alumni.
