Since its founding in 1956, the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials (SALALM) has engaged in a wide variety of projects and programs designed to advance the scholarly study of Latin America, the Caribbean, Iberia and the Latino/a diasporas. SALAM is offering a scholarship that enables master’s candidates in an ALA-accredited library and information studies program or an archival studies program to attend the next SALALM annual conference, June 5-8, 2020, hosted by the University of California, Davis.

The scholarship primarily concerns Master’s students and applicants do need to have completed at least one semester of study. The current application deadline is November 30. The scholarship application process is not onerous, requiring only a single letter of reference.
